Way back in 1992, a fisherman came into our very modest location and asked us to make the first version of this pullover. He ended up liking it so much that he ordered eighteen for his entire crew. So, for all of you that remember the original and keep asking when we'll bring it back, the answer is now!
What gets wet working on deck? Your sleeves up to the elbow and belly, whether you're picking fish or working the rail. Our solution is lining the bottom half of the sleeves and front pocket with waterproof neoprene laminate on those vulnerable areas. We also added high-vis reflective piping on the sleeves and kangaroo pocket.
The Alaska Fish Picker Pullover is made using water resistant, lightweight Polartec® Wind Pro® fleece. Wind Pro® has four times more wind resistance than traditional fleece. Velour pile traps air to provide a high warmth-to-weight ratio making it breathable and eliminates overheating. It does not restrict the movement of water vapor. Wind Pro® is a lighter weight for layering and is extremely versatile; it can be worn all year! It is machine washable (Lukewarm wash, tumble dry on low. No bleach, iron or dry clean).
